Welcome to another installment of Based on a True Story, this comic was almost directly taken from the book, Murder Machine by Gene Mustain and Jerry Capeci. Murder Machine recounts the terrifying saga of Roy DeMeo’s bloodthirsty Mafia crew.
In the book, this conversation takes place in a bar between Dominick Montiglio, the nephew of Nino Gaggi, and Roy DeMeo, where Dominick is complaining to Roy about how little Uncle Nino is paying him. Claiming that Nino hasn’t given Dominick a raise in several years, and yet he’s expected to wear fancy clothes, drive expensive cars and throw his money around.
