This comic was directly inspired after reading the book “Donnie Brasco” which was made into a movie starring Johnny Depp and Al Pacino, and details the story of FBI Agent Joseph Pistone who infiltrated the Bonanno crime family as a fake jewel thief.
According to Joseph Pistone (Donnie Brasco), wiseguys never make restaurant reservations. Instead, they’ll walk up to a hostess, tell them their name and if they say, “I’m sorry, there’s no reservation under that name,” they’ll loudly reply, “Well, why not?!?” and make a big enough stink to get a table anyways.

Bruno can be most persuasive!
I tried to model him after The Zips, which were immigrant mobsters in America. The Zips were effective because they were unknown in the country and had no police records and they tended to hang out mainly by themselves.
