In the mid-1940’s Bugsy Siegel was pulled over for a traffic violation. When Siegel handed the officer his license, there was a hundred dollar bill folded up with it, which was a lot of money at that time. The officer let the bill drop to the ground and the last he saw of it, it was blowing down the street. The officer gave Siegel his ticket and let him go. Bugsy was just another thug to the police, but cops soon learned he was a well-connected thug.
