Duane “Goldie” Leisenheimer played a significant role in the murder of Bonanno’s family captain, Caesar Bonventre. During the execution in April 1984, Leisenheimer was stationed near his chop shop on 58th Street in Maspeth. His task was to wait with a hand-held radio and signal for the garage door to be opened individuals involved in the hit approached in a car with the doomed capo. Additionally, Leisenheimer was responsible for disposing of Bonventre’s brown Cadillac after the murder took place.

Louis “Louey Ha Ha” Attanasio and Peter “Peter the Rabbit” Calabrese were also involved in this murder, which was referenced in, “Last Laugh.”
