Dutch Schultz (born Arthur Simon Flegenheimer) was a New York City-area mobster of the 1920s and 1930s who made his fortune in organized crime-related activities, including bootlegging and the numbers racket. Dutch Schultz was a bootlegger during Prohibition who’s primary sales tactic for his illicit beer was to show up at your illegal drinking establishment with a shotgun in hand and “asking” you to buy his beer.
